This summer Akon has been plagued by incidents that are affecting his musical career.
First there was the tape of him grinding on a teenage lady at a concert that he had in Trinidad. Then there was the incident where he threw one of his fans off of stage the for throwing a piece of paper at him. Due to these events Verizon dropped off the tour that he was doing with Gwen Stefani. In response to the cloud of negativity that was hanging over his head, Akon made the song, “Sorry, Blame it On Me.”
Listening to the song makes me wonder.. Is Akon truly sorry or is this his way of getting the media of his back temporarily?? Check out the video below and post you’re comments!
Also this month Akon is re-releasing his multi-platinum album, Konvicted. The new release will include three new songs, “Sorry, Blame It On Me,” “Don’t Matter” (Calypso remix), and “Rush” featuring Akon’s new artist Kardinal Offishal. Plus a DVD featuring music videos for “Smack That,” “I Wanna Love You,” and “Don’t Matter.” Fans can also see footage of Akon’s trip back home to Senegal.
